It is reported that Ri Ri’s natural hair color is dark brown, but in the last several years she has had it colored black, bleach-blonde, dark strawberry blond, two-toned red, fiery red and everything in between. She also adds streaks of every color and hue; from blond, shimmering pink to blue. This Bajan hair chameleon has worn her hair long, medium, short, straight, curly, shaved on the side, bowl cut, pixie cut, blunt cut, asymmetrical cut, side swept with bangs, long fringes, name it and she’s worn it.

Here is what Rihanna has to say about her reason for turning her hair into a vibrant fire-engine red. She claims that she was ready for something new and loud, one that is expressive and fun. This lovely R&B singer said that she has had blond hair and it bored her but that her favorite is still black but was ready for something edgier. She’s done with edgy clothes and needed to take the edge somewhere else- her Hair!
For mere mortal women who want to change their hair color as often as Rihanna, here are some words of caution. Heat and ultraviolet rays can harm color-treated hair so they must avoid high-heat hair treatment. As much as possible, they should go for milder treatments. It is also worthwhile to mist the hair with a UV-protecting solution to protect the hair as well as apply a moisturizing cream daily. Moisturizing cream should be concentrated on the tips since these are the most damaged section of the hair. The moisturizing cream should be applied on wet or damp hair at night before sleeping.
